bk plus have successfully completed the sale of a Black Country-based engineering firm, preserving 24 jobs in the process.

Richard Tonks and Kim Richards were appointed as joint administrators of precision-engineering firm T.M. Engineers (Midlands) on Friday 26th April. Following their appointment, they swiftly executed a pre-pack sale to TM Specialist Engineers, a newly formed company backed by a previously unconnected party.

Richard Tonks commented, “We are delighted to have successfully completed a sale that ensures continuity for the Company’s employees and sustains a long-established business in the Black Country.”

He added, “Although the company had invested heavily to improve its physical and procedural infrastructure, it faced challenges due to rising costs in materials, labour, and utilities. Nevertheless, the highly skilled workforce and high-quality engineering facilities made it an attractive proposition for the right buyer.”

Founded in 1952, T.M. Engineers (Midlands) has been a significant player in the precision engineering industry, serving customers in the nuclear, subsea gas and oil, defence, and aerospace sectors.

The successful sale was supported by legal advisors Russ Hill and Emily Davis from Squire Patton Boggs, Richard Mascall from MGR Appraisals, and, Toby O’Sullivan from Watling Real Estate.
