bk plus has strengthened its national Restructuring & Insolvency team with the appointment of Brett Barton, a licensed insolvency practitioner with over 30 years of experience supporting businesses in distress.

Brett brings a hands-on, relationship-led approach to client work, having worked across a range of insolvency and business recovery roles since the early 1990s. His career has included senior roles in accountancy firms and restructuring boutiques, and most recently as founder of his own firm, BLB Advisory.

Speaking about his decision to join bk plus, Brett said “I’ve known Richard and Kim for many years, and we’ve worked together on joint cases going back to 2006.  Joining bk plus felt like a natural next step.”

Brett’s experience includes overseeing solvent and insolvent liquidations, administrations, CVLs, and turnaround advisory, with a particular focus on protecting brand value and supporting owner-managed businesses through difficult times.

Brett will be based in the Midlands, working closely with teams across the UK to support SME clients experiencing financial difficulty.
