Sage have recently let users know that there are to be some essential security updates to their services which are going to directly affect older versions of Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50cloud Accounts.
These changes are being made to remain in line with industry standards and security protocols, which will protect users, clients and customers all whilst providing long term sustainability of the software.
The relevant updates are to come into effect from 30th September 2022, and after this anyone who is still using Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50cloud Accounts v26.2 and below will no longer be able to access their software.
It has been recommended by Sage that users install the latest updates as soon as possible to avoid any disruption. Those who are on versions older v26.2 must make the switch to Sage 50 subscription or move over to Cloud.
How to move to subscription.
If you notify your accountant, they will be able to obtain the subscription price for you and manage the Sage order. You will then receive a subscription email with subscriptions and update/installation files.
