About Steve
Steve began his career in VAT in 1988, initially as a VAT Inspector. Spells in Big 4, National, and Independent Firms followed, before joining bk plus in April 2025.
A Chartered Tax Advisor, Steve has extensive experience in all areas of VAT. He has worked on clients ranging from multi-nationals and National charities to owner managed businesses.
Steve provides VAT Advisory services to the firm as a whole. His approach is to give technically robust, commercially sensible advice on this most awkward of taxes.
Client assignments vary, but Steve spends a lot of his time dealing with the VAT aspects of property and construction, charities, international trade, and disputes with HMRC.
